Believe

Salvation is of the heart

The Bible also calls for “faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Acts 20:21b) To believe and trust in the risen Saviour and His substitutionary death on the cross, as your only means of salvation.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ means that you accept the fact that you are a sinner, that as a sinner you owe the sin penalty, and that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the debt you owe. It means that you will completely trust Christ alone to get you to Heaven.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31)

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
(Romans 10:13)

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (John 3:18)

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

We are saved by BELIEVING “the Gospel,” which is the power of God unto salvation. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”
